Poor Refereeing or Blatant Cheating 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Well the phone-ins have been on meltdown, the media have their headlines but..when the dust settles will anything change?

Mr.McCurry has a long list of previous when it comes to favouring Rangers...
9 bookings (most for petty offences) in our first old firm game this season

McCurry ref'd the earlier huns / dundee utd clash which they won 2-0, courtesy of a blatant offside Ferguson goal being allowed AFTER discussions with the linesman who HAD FLAGGED for offside. McCurry dissuaded him and allowed the crucial goal to stand.

CIS semi-final..Super Baz's two-handed parry prior to scoring..the all crucial first goal

and of course last weekends debacle.

I read his report on the referees website (whistleblower)..my immediate reaction was that it has been penned with the assistance of a legally minded sidekick.

He mentions...being slightly obstructed by Xmas Dailly....therefore if unsure he cannot award a penalty, but his initial instinct was that there MAY have been contact.
With regards the own goal, he informs everyone that he saw the ball strike Weir therefore awarded the goal, his linesman flagged, and as they discusse dthe issue, he allowed the linesman to ver rule him by means of insisting that in his opinon...he 'thought' the ball struck the utd forward...McCurry tells us that he told the linesman that the ball only struck weir, but the linesman insisted it had struck the utd player..SO..he allowed the linesman to eh....bully him into agreeing?????

As pictures clearly show...he puts whistle to mouth...looks at the linesman hoping that he flags to take the pressure off of himself..when no flag goes up HE BOTTLES IT....NO, HE CHEATS AND DOESNT AWARD A PENALTY.

He has since said that after viewing again he got both incidents wrong...OH REALLY MIKE..
Iam all for making allowances for human error, misjudgements, mistakes etc...but to blatantly cheat is totally unacceptable.

4th official...what did he contribute?
Assistants?? Scottish football needs to look at solving this problem (if I were really cynical) I could cite the possibility of the interference from bowler hat wearing, apron fetish people..but then again we would just be accused of being paranoid.

So onto Tannadice, I can only hope that Mark McGhee drops that fanny Bob Malcolm for the huns game as he will certainly make sure he assists them with an o.g. / penalty etc as Motherwell are playing for nothing other than bonus money.

St.Mirren will be swept aside but hopefully not by a large goal tally margin as I don't think my heart can take another calculator last day scenario.

Perhaps the sheepshaggers will play a gers formation of 4-5-1 and sneak a draw??? then again...calderwood /nichol / sandy clark...
